Supported green technologies need more research on the implementation aspect, so that businesses are catalyzed and not constrained. Identifiable core competency-run-businesses can be the base.

Unemployment can be met with saving of $250 per month by small businesses. This will reform the collective uncertainty into synergy. By sharing facilities, services, needs, the same can be saving oriented for the future.

Basic planning principles.

A table set for two people.

I am sharing the basic house planning principles. Consult your architect to incorporate these in you home plan. We practice the same as “Vastu-Shastra” in India.

1.Make the room approx 2:3 ratio-This not only makes the room look good, but improves the flexibility in usage
2.Try to consolidate doors-Try to bunch all the doors-from other rooms, external and internal-so that you have continuous furniture keeping space,
3. Alternate side windows-on opposite walls are the best-to create cross ventilation and health.
4.Kitchen Location-Should be opposite to prevailing wind direction.
5.Toilet Location-Should be away from kitchen and preferably on the cross wind corners.
6.L-shaped, long and irregular rooms impair the functionality of the house. Please consult your architect.
7.Try to scribble movable routes from room to room for all and ask your architect to minimize the circulation area.
8.Divide the house into 3 zones-Public, family and private. 1 & 3 should be exclusive.

The climatological laws of vastu were very simple and based on observations of many ancestral generations.

Southwest-Based on heating due to undesirable summer sun, desert winds and plate tilt-It was an unfavorable direction.
Brahmsthaan-Enhanced privacy & cross ventilation.
Kitchen in Southeast-Leeward wind side dispels smoke prevalent in ancient cooking methods.
Golden section was also seen as a factor in vastu designing & orientation.
